Katvig is an organic children fashion clothing company with a holistic outlook on life, who fights to set new standards for what children and nature should be exposed to. Katvig was founded in 2003 when Katrine Colette and Vigga Svensson found an old patterned duvet cover in the loft of Vigga's mom. The duvet cover became the first Katvig romper and today happy colors and uncomplicated esthetics are recurring motifs in Katvig's design. In brief, Katvig does not cover the parent's needs for the children to look as small adults, but the children's needs to be allowed to be children. The Katvig line features everything from beddings and underwear to waterproofs and blankets.
Katvig was one of the first companies to hire a ‘sustainability manager' to oversee all products from factory to store and to make sure that everything happen as sustainable as possible. Today, nearly 75 percent of all products are controlled and certified, from wastewater to the transport to the stores. Further, most items are tested for harmful substances to make sure that no child will suffer from wearing the clothes.
